Ultimate Detox is a potent general detoxifier which: 1) balances hormones by preventing their excess accumulation along with encouraging conversion into health promoting metabolites and 2) neutralizes toxins especially those xeno-derived agents such as phthalates which typically enter the body via the liver. Broccoli Seed Extract and Wasabi Extract - Two potent forms of Isothiocyanates whose actions are amplified by Methylselenocysteine to provide Nrf2 activation. Nrf2 is the body’s master genetic controller for the production of antioxidants and enzymes involved in phase 2 detoxification to protect the body against damage and increase excretion of toxins. Also provides for enhanced production of glutathione.
Calcium D Glucorate – Inhibits enzymes such as B-glucuronidase to prevent reabsorption of estrogen leading to dangerous levels of estrogen metabolites.
Polyphenols, Procyanidins (Mega Gold Grape Extract) – Powerful long-acting anti-oxidant capacity exceeding that of Vitamins C and E. Acts as natural competitive inhibitors of aromatase enzyme to prevent overproduction and excess accumulation of estrogen. One serving of Ultimate Detox is equivalent to the amount of polyphenols found in a 4 oz glass of red wine.
DIM, Indole-3-Carbinol– Derived from cruciferous vegetables to promote enzymatic metabolism of hormones such as estrogen which upon being methylated in the presence of folinic acid forms protective 2-Methoxyestrogens. Synergizes with the broccoli and wasabi isothiocyanates to potentially enhance chemopreventative activity.
Dosage: Take 4 capsules daily with a meal or as directed by your health care practitioner. For patients with severe detoxification needs, headache or nausea may accompany detoxification as the body works to eliminate toxins and purify. These patients may benefit from a starting dose of 1-2 capsules per day and then work up to a full dose over the next few weeks to minimize detoxification side effects. They may also benefit from 4 capsules in two divided doses with meals ongoing.
